Privacy Policy

Weather Health (“the app”) helps you turn local weather into health and outing advice. This policy describes what data we collect, how we collect it, how we use it, and which third parties receive it.

1. Data we collect

• Location (When In Use): used only on device to load local weather. We do not store a location history on our servers.
• Weather snapshot for AI (only after you tap Allow): city name, temperature, feels-like, UV, air quality, pollen, humidity, wind, precipitation chance, and short forecast text. We do not send precise GPS coordinates, your name, Apple ID, contacts, photos, or health records from HealthKit.
• Purchases: subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive an entitlement (subscribed or not). We do not receive your payment card details.
• On-device preferences: language, temperature unit, AI consent flag, and a short local cache of the last AI result. These stay on the device.

2. How we collect data

• Location: iOS Core Location, after the system permission prompt.
• Weather: Apple WeatherKit, with Open-Meteo as fallback. Air quality and pollen come from Open-Meteo.
• AI snapshot: built on the device from the weather already shown, then sent only if you have granted AI consent.

3. How we use data

• Show local weather, air quality, pollen, and health tips.
• Generate AI outing and health advice after you subscribe and consent.
• Unlock WeatherHealth Plus via Apple In-App Purchase.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. The app has no ads and no third-party analytics SDK.

4. Third parties

• Apple: WeatherKit (weather) and StoreKit (subscriptions), under Apple’s terms.
• Open-Meteo: weather fallback, air quality, and pollen. Requests include coordinates needed to fetch that data.
• Cloudflare, Inc.: our Worker proxy at weatherhealthproxy.wing08521.workers.dev receives the AI query so the DeepSeek API key is not embedded in the app.
• Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd. (DeepSeek): receives the weather snapshot (via the Worker) solely to generate the analysis text. This happens only after in-app consent. DeepSeek’s handling of prompts is governed by DeepSeek’s own terms and privacy policy.

These providers are expected to protect the data with a standard that is at least equivalent to this policy for the limited purpose described above.

5. Your choices

• Decline location: the app shows cached or sample weather.
• Decline AI sharing: tap not to allow, or turn off “Allow sending weather snapshots to DeepSeek” in Settings. No snapshot is sent.
• Manage or cancel the subscription in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

6. Children

Weather Health is a general-audience weather and health advice app with optional paid subscriptions and optional third-party AI. It is not directed at children under 13 and is not a Kids Category product.
